Witcher 2 steam update. WTF

So, i was ready to play witcher for a few hours.

Opened up steam, and the witcher is doing an update. 9463.7MB. Holy crap... a 10 gig update. what the hell is wrong with these people?

Luckily i have mwebs unlimited package, but still, 10 gig update, thats insane. AND it sucks cause i can't play now.

Yeah, unfortunately for Steam owners, the steam version has to redownload a large portion of the game due to the new patch. Goodluck.

Whenever you get a large steam update like that, first verify the existing files. Sometimes its just a fluke & it cuts down the d/l. I doubt it will in this case though.

It's a limit with Steam's patching, Steam downloads all the files that differ in content when they get patched. In the case of Witcher, the main file is 9gb is size, so Steam downloads the whole file again...
