Wits students protest over tuition fee increase

Its amazing how deafening the silence is from all the students now that the protests have turned violent through nothing but their own actions.

Students have blocked off an intersection and attacked a man on a McDonald's delivery scooter

So peaceful.

There goes my tax Rs up in smoke #studentsmustfall #bladesjokewasnotajoke

Something they just don't get.

Those cop vans must now be replaced with money that could have gone towards easing their lot.

And of course that van won't be avilable for those who need police assistance .

What you forget is unless they act like baffoons and go ballistic that tax money will never go to easing their lot. Lots of backorders for fancy houses and cars at the ANC.

This is related to the economy. A valid question is how this will be funded. If there is not a proper answer for this our next downgrade is around the corner. There is thing called fiscal discipline. SA is not big on it.

They could not even bail out and get SAPO going, something that created a lot of jobs when it was functioning properly.
All the money has been squandered, that's the problem.

Education should be affordable and of quality, it cannot be free, because that would require a country that's optimally functional.

ANC only cares about cadres, even if that means lying and making broken promises.
Well it's now creeping up to them.

The 6% increase yearly is actually a good thing (Inflation is a thing), but self entitlement/mob mentality and communist tendencies seem to have taken over and the people who are suffering now are the ones that one to learn and the ones that want to teach.
