Well, it's a lesson they get for free, isn't it?![]()
Anyone who is disgruntled nowadays keeps getting away with this type of violent behaviour during protests and for as long as there are no serious consequences to such behaviour, it will carry on and get worse.
So apparently these are the people acting up. *sigh*. Them vs 32000 students.

JOHANNESBURG – Workers and and a few students at Wits University are disrupting classes at the Braamfontein Campus on the first day of resumed academic activity by calling on all students to support workers’ struggles.
The handful of students and workers are demonstrating against outsourcing at the institution.
They're not happy with the intervention agreed to by university management, and the small group say they want Wits to remain closed.
At the moment, the group have disrupted second year mining engineering lectures as well as a first year biology and physics lecture.
They basically went into the lecture rooms and banged on the desks until lecturers abandoned the classes.
They’re telling other students to join their protest or to go home.
They say they want the institution to be closed until the outsourcing matter is put to rest.
They’re not happy with the interventions proposed by Vice-Chancellor Adam Habib, who said they would look into the financial viability of hiring the workers permanently.
"They are not happy" But yet "confused" Someone please explain this...
They are not happy because exams were not cancelled and are confused as they were promised that rioting would ensure their exams would be cancelled and they would be passed automatically.
Heard they are throwing poop at people too... very classy these ones
Looks to me like the EFF has hijacked this cause and will be making a nuisance of themselves every time a small victory is achieved.
I haven't seen any poop. Or heard anything about it.

Student phoned 702 earlier... just what I heard her say, she couldn't get in, and they were throwing faeces. Haven't heard or seen anything else on it
Anyway. Apart from the concrete bins lying around and a few cracked windows, campus seems to be back to normal.
