Hi:
Looking for GPS software for my new HTC Touch Pro, but Google is not my friend on this one. Any favourites (with advice for online resellers please!) out there?

Thx
Henk

Congrats on the new phone, Henk. I use Garmin Mobile XT (GMXT). A licence costs around R1k (from the Leaf shop). You can also get TomTom, Navteq and others, but they are less proliferated locally. While you're about it, install Google Maps and Noni GPS Plot. You can also try other location apps like leaf Locate.

Make sure you update your sats with QuickGPS (under Programs on your device) before trying to get a satellite fix.

Thanks Arthur, missed the Leaf shop. Google Maps installed already.
Does Noni do anything a proper GPS program doesn't do anyway?
H.

So far I've found that HandyMap is the most updated. Great GPS software, never have any issues.

I had tried Handymap AI Gold, Tomtom 6 and Garmin Mobile XT 5 on WM6 systems, currently have the Garmin on my Omnia.

Handymap is noticabley slower compared to Tomtom on the same PPC (Dopod 838), and less user friendly.
