WMV to MP4 Converter

So using MediaCoder and following the instructions in these videos...

... I have successfully converted my first wmv to mp4 and put it on my iPod.

There is, however, very slight lack of sync between video and audio which I think may have been my fault from messing around with some settings.

This was actually because I was playing the file in VLC. When I played it in iTunes and QuickTime, I had no sync problems.

MediaCoder FTW!

Ok, I don't know why you went through all that trouble but I just use WinAVI MP4 converter which converts most video formats to MP4 for iPods, PSPs, mobile phones and any other devices which use MP4 as their format of choice.

I know it isn't free and i think that it watermarks if you don't register but it can't be all that hard to find "the thing that makes it free".

As someone in another thread pointed out--(at the very least) why crack software, or pay for proprietary software when there a free/opensource alternatives--which sometimes take a little more effort to come to grips with and/or find. ;)

I will keep that app in mind though if I am ever stuck in future. Thanks :)

As I was typing this, MediaCoder just popped up to inform me that my collection of 10 wmv's were successfully converted to iPod-friendly mp4's :)

Use Melodycan to convert WMV to MP4 or other format. I think it will help.
