Well it seemed to work fairly well
I have no thoughts either way on a book with no provenance written by men who never met the subject of the book.
I'm talking about Christians, such as you who follow the book and believe it to be gods word. There are 1000s of different interpretations depending on how you view life and simply alter to suit.

In what way are homosexuals, etc. supposed to be grooming children? Cross-dressing and risqué humour have long been an integral part of theatre. They're standard in pantomimes. This goes back hundreds of years. That means it should be viewed as old and traditional, and therefore loved by conservatives.
Lol, open you eyes fella, there are millions for women priests, millions against it, millions for homosexual marriage, millions against it, millions believing bread is the body of Christ, millions who don't. Strawman. Conservative love theatre. In the modern day woman can also act in theatre plays so there is less of a need to cross dress but you can if you want. You can even do adult shows for adults.
The only problem is displaying adult content to kids.

That's a bit of a weak dodge.
I have no thoughts on the interpretations of the bible because I don't know what it in it. Surely that's not too hard to understand?
My comments are on the many, wide and varying interpretations that one sees by Christians justifying their personal beliefs and all relating to the same book.
Try being honest for a second and comment on the subject.

The better way to view the Bible is to look at it archetypically. What are the stories in the various books, what are the characters doing in the books and what example do they set with their experiences. That type of analysis is much more useful than quoting random pieces of Torah law written 2000 years ago. If you want to understand the book as Christians do, that is probably your best shot as an atheist.
And it would be incorrect to say that every single story has 1000 different interpretations. For example, I do not really see how many interpretations of the parable of the Good Samaritan you can really get out of it.

At least in Afghanistan maybe he was trying to send a message to the United States. Perhaps he's tired of those clowns running around claiming he's on their side. The plague, well that could have been an attempt to get rid of some old conservatives. The war was started by a religious ultra-conservative, Putin, but his forces don't appear to be doing too well.
The school sex education thing we know is just hyperbole. These are after all the same people who usually lie about being banned from praying at school.
