If religion is so powerful to stand on its own, it can be taught to adults without having to impact a child's life or upbringing. If a conman is trying to sell you a dream house, you'll have enough logic and common sense to know it's a scam, so why not the same with an imaginary heaven? It's an acceptable lie because everybody is on it.

I'd prefer religion not being taught to kids, but it's up to the parents. Same for alphabetism and gambling.
