I don't believe I ever said you should watch porn with your kids. I'm saying if you're not going to prepare your teenagers to handle sexuality maturely, then things like the pride parade will. I know personally which one I'd prefer does the teaching.

Plenty of stuff carries an 18 age restriction. Plenty of stuff is outright banned in a lot of countries. If you're sticking religiously to what some muppet in a government says your kids should be watching instead of making your mind up for yourself based on their maturity level you seem rather foolish.

Plenty of stuff carries an 18 age restriction. Plenty of stuff is outright banned in a lot of countries. If you're sticking religiously to what some muppet in a government says your kids should be watching instead of making your mind up for yourself based on their maturity level you seem rather foolish.

You are arguing to include them.

That is far beyond reasonable sex education.

This goes for more straight events like sexpo, no kids.

Sex shops, strip clubs, whatever. No kids.

The age restriction is normally a safe median. However it's also relative as each child develops at his own pace.

Take religion out of it. Legalizing it and putting it in public, contradicts what you say. Suddenly some group on the streets surrounds your car, your forced to wait with small children in the car seeing and hearing what they should not. So much for your parental choice, you're back to some government decree.

Not youngsters. Certain teenagers mature enough to handle it, provided their parents have adequately prepared them.

As far as I'm aware there isn't actual nudity at pride parades. There's more skin than usual for public appearances sure. As I said your kids will see worse on the Internet by the time they're in their late teens already. If you're not preparing them for that then I suppose they're just on their own when it comes to figuring things out. Good luck with that approach.

Totally disagree with you, some (most) of these pride parades have insane simulated suggestive sex on display, no place for a kid. Whether a kid can find it on the internet is immaterial a parent willingly subjecting their children to this is not appropriate at all.

Unless you've never heard the phrase "sticking to something religiously"? It just means in the same manner as one would stick to religious dogma, i.e. in a dedicated and strict manner. It doesn't mean you're actually religious.

Firstly you don't drive through places where a pride parade is happening. The streets are blocked to allow for the parade. Secondly be an adult. Take note of the route the pride parade will take and simply avoid the area on the day if you have youngsters you feel shouldn't be taking part (a perfectly reasonable stance to have BTW).

Depends on the individual kid. Some older teenagers will be mature enough to handle that sort of thing, some won't be. It should be up to the parent to decide. Not the bloody government.

Once it's out in the public, it's "out in the wild". I gave an example of kids in a car. The car might be one exiting a parking lot*, or equally inadvertently be somebody visiting a shopping center or any place on the route with young children for whatever reason. You can't control public spaces.

* a real world example of an old couple that had to be extracted by SAPS from a organized march after streets had been closed for blocks, their car and windows bashed in.

That's peados and the biggest problem.
But no we are talking about kids up to 18 that is the legal standard. <18 don't belong in strip clubs, swinger parties, sex shops, gay pride parades. Any other adult show, performance, event.

Kids <18 don't even belong at a regular club where there is nothing explicitly sexual.

And no, you cannot just be like porchrat and say you want to teach your teenagers about the lifestyle so they are going swinging with you.
