Woolworths SA refuses to back down from supporting Pride Month

Woolworths is going to lose many customers and revenue for this stunt. But money isn't everything...
Meh from that perspective Woolworths is a shít company that has gone absolutely nowhere in the last 10 years.

This year they are up a bit from the Covid lows. But not where you want to be long term. Sadly they are in the top 40 so most people, even those boycotting them will have some woolies in their pension funds. Essentially boycotting themselves.

I boycott Woolwoths for the same reason I boycott Steve Hofmeyer, they're both kak.

Good on them on not budging on their principles tho. If they need to bite the bullet because the majority of their customers are homophobes, so be it.
What principles? You should approach Woolworths for a role as a LBG (not TQ) mascot. It seems they got the TQ covered with old Zoey Black. You might be just what they looking for.

When will Woolies sell trans-friendly underwear to children? I need to take a short position.

Not bowing to bullies. All this talk of how poor people get fired if they speak up against gays and now those same people trying to do the same to a company that is shoving rainbows on everything for one month :p

Why don't you apply? You seem to have enough sass :p

@Enby Panda how does this make you feel, are we switching roles now? I personally find some Lesbians cute and think I would date them if given a chance, does that make me Bi?

The only thing that gets me about corporations "supporting" pride month is that it's often obviously insincere. They support it because they know they will get criticism if they don't, or worse they use it as an opportunity to sell pride month merchandise.

If a company genuinely wants to support pride month go for it. I don't really care. It's arguably a positive thing. Just be sincere. For the most part though these are soulless corporations and we all know that.

The entire reason a corporate exists is to make profit, so none of this should be a surprise. Its exactly the same for xmas, easter and any other event.

Christmas is just them selling me decorations and such. Nobody pretends to stand in solidarity with me on Christmas like happens for pride month.

It's that fake approach that annoys me. These people aren't allies. They'll throw gay folks in gas chambers if it's suddenly legal and profitable. We all know this. Stop pretending WW.
