Woolworths SA refuses to back down from supporting Pride Month

Christmas is just them selling me decorations and such. Nobody pretends to stand in solidarity with me on Christmas like happens for pride month.

It's that fake approach that annoys me. These people aren't allies. They'll throw gay folks in gas chambers if it's suddenly legal and profitable. We all know this. Stop pretending WW.

And yet if WW refused to sell xmas decorations this December can you imagine the outcry? All these corporations have these fake approaches, they get you to donate to charities on check out and make it like its their good deed.

That goes for any group. Its a corporation people need to stop thinking any of them are do gooders, and realise they all have only profits on the brain.

You got a point here. It's similar to WW wishing you a Merry Christmas or something. Like WW gives a stuff about Christmas. It's just more opportunities to sell more stuff.

Uhm. Why is a retailer doing this ? Are their donuts gay ?

If you thought that ESG metrics were open to abuse (read fraud), think about the billions that pension funds will be shovelling into companies with great CEI metrics:

It's not an accident that woke campaigns are appearing "spontaneously" all over the globe. There's a cynical and financial reason. The debate about specific campaigns is way behind the curve.

Definitely. It's called rainbow capitalism for a reason. Woolworths and what have you will only do it while it remains profitable! :sneaky:

Remember this outrage so many years ago?

Cape Town - Woolworths is facing criticism from a few Christians for putting a Halaal certification mark on its hot cross buns, but a bishop has labelled it "nothing more than a storm in a baking pan".

The Cape Times reported on Thursday that people had written e-mails and used social networking sites to voice disapproval of the use of a Muslim mark on a food that had special significance for Christians.

One Christian wrote on Woolworths Facebook wall: “Ja, its sad to hear the woolies we supported all these years turned their backs on Christians.
