WordPress - Transfer WordPress site to another server...

Hey Guys,

I currently have a WordPress site that I want to move to another paid web host (the one its on is a free webhost, slow as hell). I have tried a couple of wordpress plugins to do the transfer but these just keep the posts and pages, but not other things like installed templates, installed plugins, images and video's.

So I would like to ask what other options can I try? Could it be possible if I login to PHPMyAdmin and try backup the databases manually and restore them?

Give it a try, that approach works with Joomla

You should just be able to copy the files and restore a backup of the database.

Download a plugin called duplicator. It cant be beat and its free. Just type duplicator in the add new plugin page. Also can be used for full backups.
