Worst drivers on our roads?

I have found that recently the worst drivers are woman in tiny cars, like i10's, i20's, Figo's, Getz's etc

Strangely older men in luxury cars are the courteous ones on the road now.

I tend to agree with that, with the exception that if that luxury car is an audi, he will drive like a plonker.

But going back on topic, just today, I found a corolla straddling the fast lane doing 100km in a 120 zone, and completely unwilling to move over. He/she should have been shot for that.

I drove a corolla for 2 weeks once upon a time.
I can understand why their drivers are bad. Because they're asleep. It's so fkn bland it should be a schedule 5 medication.

The worst are people putting on make up or doing their hair at the red robot(traffic light) and the robot(traffic light) turns green and they struggle to get away or they are not aware of the robot(traffic light) that changed, leaving you to be caught by the red light. Do you make up or hair at home. Get up earlier or in the parking lot at your destination.

actually I though of somebody who drives worse.....

anybody driving a company car or a rental; when its not your car you drive a lot worse then you'd normally do......

People in SA are overly cautious and slow due to our high accident rate and death toll, but that just further exacerbates the problem because it makes them skittish and unpredictable.
The slow and unsteady drivers are just as dangerous as the fast and reckless ones.
You need to find a happy medium.

Bingo!

The worst drivers are usually always in a Audi/BMW/Merc(or something expensive and German). Usually a Audi, but that's probably because they cant afford a Mercedes.

-Sitting on your arse? Audi
-Not using indicators at all? BMW
-Drunk? Mercedes
-Think they're alone on the road? BMW
-Courteous and professional? Hyundai getz.

This is just another day in Africa.

FTFY, with the reality.

This is what I reckon:

Those who take chances and nip in/out of traffic - Usually small Korean hatchbacks (i10, i20, Kia Picanto etc)
Those who drive up your arse. Usually aggressive and pushy - Generally BMW drivers or those in some large obnoxious SUV
Speed around, jump traffic circles - usually commercial bakkies

Taxi's are not worth mentioning. They apply to all of the above.

And the occasionally young oke. Not many of them, but I'd consider myself as one. Sadly people in general are not and have little patience.

Agreed, people see someone trying to merge into your lane as a challenge of the highest degree, and will fight to their death to make sure you don't get in in front of them.

My rule is, if you indicate and I don't have to brake, I will let you in. If I can see you edging towards my lane without indicating (bonus points for being generally unaware of your surroundings prior to this standoff) then I will make sure to leave just enough space for you to keep edging but not able to get in. If you go for the gap anyway, good luck brah

Btw I drive an Audi

Having owned a number of BMW's, I can safely say its because the indicator functionality is totally *****ed on BMW's

On every other car I own, to cancel indicating, you just tap back up (or down) as relevant in the opposite direction.
On BMW's though, it starts indicating in the other direction.

So you have this little dance of oh ***** I wanted to cancel the indicator, now its indicating the other direction, then you end up going ***** it, and not using them at all.

Merc does it right.

They all drive like crap but Fortuner drivers, in my experience, take the cake.
