The Lampard red was wrong as well but at first sight it looked a lot worse than it was. It will probably be rescinded as well.

It looked worse than it was. If you watch the replays, his studs were not that high, he wins the ball and then gets kicked by Alonso

Alonso didn't deliberately kick him. If he wasn't so high he wouldn't have been kicked

While it didn't look that bad on the replay, in real life it looked like it deserved red. I don't blame Reilly for sending him off. The kung fu kick on the other hand.....

I also don't blame him for the sending off. Just like the West Brom red against United, I think it looked like a red card offence at first glance. But I still think it might get rescinded and reduced to a yellow.

Hello people!!!!!!! Are you trying to bend rules to suit you or what? Going in with studs high counts when they player is going over the ball. His studs werent showing to the man, he was practically level with the ball (on the replay afterward, it was practically in a straight line). Don;t tell me thats showing studs... That was going for the ball. Pfft.

Lampard red was wrong, but understandable. It looked dangerous in real time.

Exactly -almost a carbon copy of the Lampard tackle(actually worst as Gerard slid in and got the man with intent) and he gets a warning!
