Call them. Maybe if you speak to a different person, you might have a better experience. You might not remember the exact sequence of numbers you dialled but you probably know who you call most often.

Also, get a SIM swop done, might work to get your sms's to YOU, instead of on the old phone.

Thanku for ur response. I wrote this particular piece raging with frustration because i called the customer service 6 times. Yes i did it to myself 6 times anf yet the thieves are still opersting my phone and getting ever closer to my very sensitive info. I will attempt a sim swop not sure how it will work as to do so again for security protocol u are required to provide atleast 5 numbers from that sim, info i just dont have.but thanks

Sorry to be blunt but why the hell did you not have a locked screen ? Please tell me you are not one of those users who have no lockout on the device when its in standby ?

I would be screaming abuse at whoever I'm talking to at cellc at this point. Just ask them to cancel and it should be done. My word.

And all this after having 3 people take evrything u have whilst the cold steel of a gun is against ur face. Woke up this morning not thinking that yestwrday at this time i couldve never seen my family again had the situation changed but what tbought was what i was going to say to the consultant at cell c. Thanku for ur response. I tried calling my stolen phone again just now and its still active

Two things you can try:
Phone the bank and ask them to lock your profile or deregister the device from your profile- can do this from the fnb online banking but cant remember if you need the code and not sure about other banks
Not sure what phone you have, but if android, try find my device (phone) from a browser and you should be able to secure your phone or erase it if online

Sorry to hear this OP.
Terrible thing to go thru.
Hope you come right
