Worst movie ever?

I honestly don't understand the hatred for Movie 43. Yes it's properly stupid; it didn't pretend to be anything other than that.

What other movie can you see Hugh Jackman with balls on his neck

Why would you want to see this in the first place!?

I never mentioned I would like to see that.

I'm just illustrating the point that yes it's properly stupid but does not pretend be anything else.

There are far worse movies than Movie 43.

All of these are still fairly well produced and watchable movies compared to some of the low grade or B-grade crap you find in old crusty video stores.
Some of these listed here still made fairly decent amounts of money.
There are thousands of movies listed on IMDB that don't even have cover art, are filmed on iPhones and handy cams, and star a bunch of people picked up at the local gas station.
Those are the real "worst movies ever".

Here's one example... Most of you have probably never heard of it or seen it.
But it is a good candidate for worst movie ever.

B-grade movies aren't necessarily bad.

Ja no... I agree. But those are in the category of "so bad that they're good"

What I'm talking about are the B-Movies that are actually so bad that they are not even worth watching. Nothing redeemable.

I remember watching Cyborg with Jean Clodd van Damn ..... what a load of ..... I have never respected any appliance since.

I think it was a C grade movie.

Having said that some of the Indie movies and fan films are quite good considering

For the "worst movie ever" you have to take the Clarkson and May approach to how they did the "worst car ever", anything designed to be stupid, done on the cheap or done by people who don't know any better is out. A "B-movie", amateur movie or parody, no matter how dreadful, cannot be the worst movie ever.

It has to be something that was done "right" by people who usually know what they're doing and still turned out dreadful.

Except that there is some overlap there in your categories. And that's where you will find these stinkers.
They truly honestly believe they are doing it right, and that their particular movie will be the break through gem.
They all believe that they will be the next Neil Blomkamp with a district 9 hit.

Yeah, the dude left Earth and took this up on his home planet :D

Speaking of which...most Tarantino movies are terrible in my opinion.

I just don't get it. Pulp fiction most of all.

Dark humour ... Personally I like Tarantino ... The Hateful Eight was particularly good :D

But ja, Tarantino isnt for everyone. I watched Kill Bill Vol 1 in a theater someone in Joburg while on a business trip. I laughed my mielie off .... much to the disgust of tannie vd Spuy next to me.

Yeah I get that but it's the pacing that normally puts me to sleep.

I had to retry Reservoir Dogs four times before I succeeded in not falling asleep.

The newer stuff has actually been better. I enjoyed both Inglorious Bastards and Django without putting in a special effort.

Should try to watch the Wall sober .... :)

"The tantalizing prospect that this could have been a camp set-up of the Snakes on a Plane or Sharknado ilk pops up as Left Behind starts to echo 1970s flight deck-driven disaster films—and the parodies that followed. No such luck. Armstrong appears humourlessly earnest about his task. Score one for Satan."

"the writing is horrible, the direction is clunky, the special effects are not special [and] the acting is so wooden you could make a basketball court out of it. Everything about this film feels forced and overwrought. With all due respect: Oh. My. God."

"At best, Left Behind is shoddily made sensationalist propaganda—with atrocious acting—that barely registers as entertainment. At worst, it's profoundly moronic. Audiences, Christian or not, deserve better, and it's hard to imagine that the ham-fisted revelations in this schlock could serve any higher purpose."
