Worst passwords in the world

Um, they are the same as the worst passwords for the last twenty years.
I think it's safe to say, those people are not reading these articles.
 
They forgot "love", "secret", "sex" and "god". System operators love to use "god", it's a whole male ego thing.

Or they just don't care. Don't assume people are using these for their banking account. If you log in to a porn site you don't care for secure and more about ease of use.
 
Blame the systems that allows such a password to be used. The whole 8 characters, at one capital letter, lowercase and number and special character rule would easily exclude most of those.
 
strange theres no password123 on the list :)

I would go ballistic if someone messed with my "most-watched" list.

Meaning I can't use my 24 character random alpha numeric password then.
 
It's newbies to computers... Hacker's job still guaranteed :D
 
My personal bugbear is rules that do not allow the use of a space in the password. All my passwords have spaces in them.

My 24 character alphanumeric password is much more secure than my capitalised name with a number and special character.

I used to have this friend who loved to have passwords like TheFatCatDiedOnThePavement - now take all the characters that you can change to numbers - and each place would have a different type of rhyme with password - then he started to struggle - forget etc.

I loved watching him lose his mind... then he just started using "12345@abcde" type password.
 
Nothing new here, still the same passwords from the time before. So those people are certainly not going to change their passwords anytime soon
