Worst puncture ever?!

Is that repairable? I know sidewalls and even the edge is a no no.

Don't TW&T offer tyre insurance?

Best take it out in this place.

In the case of insured new tyres, if the damage occurs within the first 30 days or 2,000km after fitment, you get a full credit towards the purchase of the same or a similar new tyre from Tiger Wheel & Tyre.

Thereafter, and for insured used tyres, the insured sum is calculated using a formula that takes into account the starting and remaining tread on the damaged tyre as well as the legal tread limit, and the final value is issued to you as a credit towards the purchase of a new tyre.

X-Sure is available on all brands of tyres and the policy is valid for 50,000km travelled on the insured tyre/s or three years from the start date, whichever comes first, and allows for one claim per insured tyre.

Not worth the effort imo, the quote I had from them was way too expensive for what they actually offer.

How does a bolt like that go through a tyre? It doesn't have a sharp point.

Funny how I only got one of these bolts stuck in a Tyre AFTER visiting a Tyre shop that tried to con me on my wheel being buckled.

And that can be patched.

Had exactly the same thing happen about 6 months ago and can definitely be repaired. Don't know why the a holes told you otherwise.

That can be patched as other have said. Of course TWT will say it cannot: R50 vs R3500..................

Avoid the **** out of TWT. They are a serious rip.
Colin at rivonia tyre is your man.

I had a puncture caused by a shard of bone that a hyena had left of the tar road in Kruger Park, that was thicker and they said it was to big to plug. No fun changing car wheel in the wild...

Remember one thing: if you are in the wild just drink your own pee. Seems to make everything all right. Just ask BG....
