Worst puncture ever?!

I'm going to another dealer tomorrow morning to get it fixed. If it works, I'll go ask my money back. They still have the new tyre as I first needed to get the mag repaired, but already paid for it.

There is obviously a safe size they can do repairs, any larger and you risk a failure. And I bet you like to drive fast ...

Not worth the effort imo, the quote I had from them was way too expensive for what they actually offer.

Around xmas a few years back I visited the new China Mall at Hillfox and got three punctures.

I paid R500/R600 for 3 new tyres. They're cheapies though - 2004 VW Polo, still it was worth it for me.

But, yes, i hear what you're saying. Some things just aren't worth it.

A very quick google suggests that a hole greater than 6mm should not be patched, so they may have been correct but it is really hard to judge by a picture how big that bolt is

It's probably closer to about 10.
