So I have my old SE K750 sitting here doing nothing now that I have upgraded to a K810. I am thinking of selling it/giving it to one of my mates, but it is not in the best condition.

I was thinking of taking it to VC and seeing how much they would charge to fix the damage to it.

Basically, the internal stuff is in perfect order and the screen is perfect. But the phone has a lot of scratches and scuff marks where the grey and silver plasitc has started to wear off in places. The black plastic on the back is not sctrached or damaged at all. I'd post pics but they don't really do it justice...

So basically, what do you think it would cost to replace say the panel around the keys on the front, the lense cover for the camera and the plastic around the sides of the body?

If you're giving it to a friend, they can fix it. :p

:p But how much do you think it would cost them? With all the scratches it has, it wouldn't even want to give it away in this state. But if the plastic could be fixed, it would be like a brand new phone :)

Even have a 1GB memory card for it (which cost R1200 back in the days  :()

Had one, very hardy and easy to use, miss it lots. (got a rubbish u700 now:( )

Mine had similar scratches etc, took it to the SE shoppie in Vodaworld, they said they didn't do the face plate replacements, but a company in Midrand did. (now if only I still had that number )

And if only if there was somethingsimilar in Cape Town, cos I am guessing if I go to Vodaworld here, then they'll tell me the same thing :(

Things to consider :
:( Its getting old
:) Its a real nice phone :)
:( Screen is smallish (in comparison to todays nice 320x240)
:( Batt is probably getting to the end of its long life

These are all probably good points. :(

It was just such a great phone for me. The only thing that bugged me really was the small-ish by nowadays' standards screen. Otherwise, the K810 is not really that much better...

So, does anyone know of a place that might fix it up for me in CT or a rough idea of how much it would cost? :o
