The smart money will be on whatever mats are required to level Inscription from 0. As well as mats for any professions that become super-awesome in Wrath, if any.

And if you have any spare badges now, you should be burning them into epic gems.

Mudflation aside, the advantage to going into Wrath with a large gold stock is that you can level your profession(s) of choice to 450 really fast, and then proceed to begin buying all the nice recipes and start controlling the market. That's how you really get rich.
 
Best way to make mother load of Gold.

Rush up your new Skill caps and farm mats for the slow pokes :D

True... Inscription will be a very nice profession when WOTLK is released. Everyone and their grandmother will b rolling DK + inscription. Its not going to be like enchanting: You require the person to 'enchant your armor in a trade window', apparently blizz will put it in the AH along with enchanting.

To put it into perspective: before BC was released, I stockpiled mats necessary to level JC to 300. I spent about 200g getting all the stuff from AH over a period of weeks. The day it released, I mailed all the stuff from my alt to my main and started leveling. The WoW mailboxes seem to have an issue if you have more than 20-odd unread mails (I think maybe it gets archived to free up memory or something), and there was a time lag for the last few mails to appear in my box. I was impatient, so I bought the last stuff I needed from AH. That was about another 100g. When the last few mails finally arrived, I had hit 300, so I decided to put them back on AH a day later. I sold roughly 1/15th of the total mats needed for my leveling for over 600g.

Inscription is gonna be the same :)

Think again, October/November 2008.

They gonna have to release it soon if you think about it. Since Alpha has been leaked all the emulator developers have been working on getting a emulator working for this. Wont blizz look like poepalls if WOTLK gets emulated before the release date.

Now think back to BC there was a working emulator from the beta release, ok all you could do was run around the outlands no npcs etc.

Now add AOC, Warhammer, and alpha leak (funny how the leak date was the same as AOC) but anyway Blizz will be working overtime to get this explansion released.
