WOTLK Talents

Priest guardian spirit spell looks amazing, and shadow spell (dispersion?)

wow..

Is this official now? Or are these still based on leaked alpha? Sorry can't check for myself, firewall at work. :/

Apparently it's based on the alpha talents shown at WWI. So yeah they will probably change.

I don't think the pvp'ers will let us locks get away with:
Cripple
Rank 1 60 Cripples the target, reducing movement speed by 75%, silencing the target. Cripple causes the target to be immune to physical attacks, but still vulnerable to spells. Lasts 20 sec. Only 1 target can be crippled at a time.
1.5 sec cast, 12% of base mana, 30 yd range

After seeing some of the talents I'm seriously considering becoming a fire lock. Of course I'll wait for the actual expansion before thinking toooo hard about it. :p

To be frank, I'm fine with that. Locks are nowhere near as OP these days as warriors, rogues and resto druids. Virtually all casters needs some kind of viable way to keep spamstringinterceptmortalstrikelol cheese off them long enough to at least get some kind of damaging spell off. Melee in pvp (except feral lol) need to be hit with a nerfbat so hard, you should be able to see the impact from space. That or mages, locks, shammies, hunters and pallies need to get some real love in Wrath, coz right now virtually every class that has a mana bar except resto durids, is a bag of relative pvp fail.

Grrrr, new Shadow Talents and Spells make me a very happy clothy.

I was a bit iffy on Dispersion because it's only 36% mana returned but after taking a look at the discussion on new Talents at EJ I reckon it's looking to be a good PvE/PvP talent to have.

It seems that due to the unified gearing model Blizz is using for Wrath SP Personal DPS is betting an approximate 12.6% increase without taking into account the Proc on the new Spirit Tap Talent.
VT takes a 60% nerf so we'll be wanted less for our mana return then we are currently (hence fewer guilds taking more then one SP) but we'll be compensated with AoE, non-Damage Interruptible MF (this especially makes me very happy) and better DPS.

So.... much.... win.....

When Wrath hits I'll be respeccing Deep Shadow for leveling. Screw the 14 points of Discipline Talents till Shadow is full.

20 secs is horrible for other casters, yeah, but has little to no effect on physical damage dealers. Probably a typo. Or it's on a hell of a long cooldown( it sure as hell won't be spammable, that would be retarded). Or it's reduced to 10 secs in PVP like all CC currently is. Or all of the above.

For shammies, all the PVP love seems to be in Elemental. Resto gets little to nothing (spirit link and buffed HW/LHW, yawn). Enhance gets a Beast Within and summonable pets, turning them into melee hunters, (lawl behind the curve again). But elemental gets knockback, proccing root on a snare, physical immunity when critted twice in a row, among others? Hawt.

looks like we'll use shadow and fire as one buffs the other .We'll get plus dam from spirit and spirit from critting(always loved locs unique critting stacks)

Buttt...It pains me thou that ISB is getting nerf'd T.T QQ

oye and we'll probally have our imps out now ,no DS :O

I don't know weather I'll go DS or not. The imp buff is nice but imps are notoriously squishy if not out of phase... But if you don't bother about DS you can use them points spent in demo in destro or aff even. So many considerations.

Metamorphasis FTW ;)

extreamly off topic: anybody remember a game called "Metalmorphasis"?
I loved that game.

back on topic: agg i'll probably spec demo for a day just to play around with it but I doubt I'll keep it.

i have a funky feeling that us locks are gonna be tasting the nerf on expansion.

there is just no talent worth 51 odd points imo unless u go pvp.

This is all 100% true. So true that i have actually rolled myself a rogue. Im sick and tired of being destroyed as my priest. Some arenas i literally dont even get off my mount and im dead. And my other main is a shammy. They both get owned badly.

The only time casters can do well is if they are hiding behind a rock and noone is focusing them. Which to be honest is not for me

Pre TBC warriors were just a plain joke vs casters. They were 2 shotted by mages and just generally laughed at, rage nerf etc. not really helping much.

It's funny how quickly ppl forget in this game :P

Have a look at a warrior nerf montage for some laughs:
