Would you date a smoker?

Yeah if someone smokes you have a better chance of getting with them.
 
my dad killed himself with ciggies, booze and cholesterol at an early age.
it changed my approach to life a lot.
wanna know what turns me on?
somebody who eats healthily, works out, doesn't smoke, takes limited alcohol and intends living for as long as possible.

No. I can't stand people who smoke. What's the point? Do you enjoy the taste? It stinks up the air. It stinks up your clothes. It stinks up your breath. Name one good thing about cigarettes.
 
In my younger (..more!) foolish days I let did, for [-]quite some time[/-] far too long. And got to drive around with her smoking in the car - you know that crack-the-window-open thing smokers do, right - that makes it fine ..right? But what it cost came in small increments, what you might think of as little froggy steps, I suppose.

Time passed and now I've got (the BEST!) a new lady who, as they (seem to) do, basically misrepresented herself about being a smoker - "I don't do it around you", "you don't see it", kark like that. Not that her car, if closed up for some time and/or out in the sun for some time has still has traces of that rank, foul stench in it, noooo! :rolleyes:

But here's the thing, with an addiction (and we're going to table THAT part of the dialogue, ok?) you never know where the person ends and the addiction starts ..and, push come to shove (usually when..), the addiction WILL win - inevitably. And that was just an untenable position to be in.

So I said, she can do what she chooses to do but this time there was no way I would be involved with a smoker. Note that I was excruciatingly clear that I was categorically NOT telling her to stop; she could smoke all she wanted, any time she wanted. Just not around me. Or, if she wanted to continue a relationship with me, at all. But I never said she couldn't or has to stop or (and this is the 'wiser' part) forbade it. :cool:

We're now merrily romping (if you will..):D along to completing our second year together and, frankly, in relationship terms, things couldn't be better.
 
I smoke so yes. I have a hard time dating someone that doesnt as 90% of them complain like the rest of you. I feel the same way about booze as you do about smoking, turns me off. imo its worse and the impact it has on those around you is far greater then second hand smoke. News headlines " Smoking driver kills family of 4" unless it was a babe of a chick I dont think so.

An investigation is under way into an alleged incident where a 13-year-old school girl had sex with three older boys in exchange for a cigarette.

The alleged incident involved a pupil from Craigie High School in Dundee.

Tayside Police is investigating the claims that she attended a flat near the school with three older boys before engaging in sexual activity with them in exchange for a single cigarette.

Pupils at the school have discussed the alleged incident on social networking sites Twitter and Facebook.

It is understood that police officers are examining phone footage that was taken of the alleged encounter.

A police spokeswoman said: "We are making inquiries into an incident involving a number of young people at an address in Dundee on January 12.

"Inquiries are at an early stage and officers are in the process of interviewing those believed to have been involved. It would be wrong to comment further."

A spokesman for Dundee City Council refused to say if the three boys alleged to have been involved had been suspended.

He added: "It would not be appropriate for the council to comment while a police inquiry is ongoing."
