. . . or when you're older? 40 . . . 50 years old or more?

I was at BT Games earlier, got myself AC IV: Black Flag and I noticed there was quite a few kids around browsing and buying etc.

It got me thinking . . . jeez! I'm getting old but I'm still gaming. I'm still passionate about it. I'm not a hardcore gamer but I do keep an eye out for up and coming new releases and wait in anticipation like I always did before.

Heck, I'd probably get a PS6 one day as well :D

For all intents an purposes I don't refer to myself as a true gamer anymore. :( Though that's more to do with not having the time.

Hell it was so bad, I had to upgrade my PC every 6 or so months. Currently my PC has the same components it had 5 years ago :D

Always. The only thing that will change (and increase!) as I get older will be my tolerance for rude and obnoxious delinquents who seem to be multiplying at an alarming rate.

Probably but even if I play games for the next 30 years there will never be a Lost Vikings sequel. :(

Steam. No kiddie guilt and your own credit card.....or whats left of it.

Heh, mentioned that to the SO last night. Went from a competitive gamer to casual gamer in less than 5 years. Time catches up with you and priorities change.

But I'll always find some time to game, even if it's just 10 hours a month.

Of course, getting old is no reason for stopping (assuming you still have the same interest).

Remember that one day you will have kids (well, not all of you, some gamers are unlikely to ever breed :D ) and they will most likely get a gaming console. I never was a gamer but I do on occasion challenge the kids when they are playing. I also browse the game shops on occasion for new games for them.

Gads what a question .. I'm turning 49 and I still play games.

Years ago an old, balding man was having bitch fit in CNA for not having a game in stores that was in the leaflets. :D That's gonna be me some day. :erm:

One day... in the not-too-distant future... the pensioners will be playing LAN games in the old age homes!!

I have met 70 - 80 year olds in online games, I personally think it is great as they otherwise live very sheltered lonely lives a lot of the time.
