No.
Poor minimum wage for hours worked.
Conditions do not contribute to a conducive working environment.
Unplanned overtime may not be enforced. Both parties must agree.
Surveillance could be construed as invasive.

Stay in school, at least until you've learned some basic grammar and spelling.

what's wrong with his spelling and grammar?

but i agree: stay in school and go to college / university after you finished school. :-)

Im guessing that you actually mean office cleaner?

Even the lowest paid worker in a company like Telkom, ABI etc for example ears 3-4x more than that.

I would not work for R2500 a month, it's rape. I earned more than that as a student allowance while doing my practical in 1994, not even appointed as an employee.

You really should move on, you owe it to yourself.

Erm, having camera's under desks and anywhere in the toilets is illegal.
Its a gross invasion of privacy. I would write my boss an anonymous letter/email telling him to remove the cameras or be publicly branded as a perv and to have sexual harassment charges brought against him.
AFAIK the R250 "stock deduction" is also illegal. Loss control is his problem, not yours. Ask him if its a license fee to steal R250 worth of goods a month.
When I was studying I worked as a waiter in a restaurant. They used to charge us R10 "breakages" every night until someone went to the ccma about it. They had to stop after that.

If you want to do IT work, leave the country. The industry in SA is screwed up. Its very small which means that the good positions are very small in number. Work in the UK, US, or Oz. Otherwise do something else.

Don't expect much better. In fact expect much worse in the US particularly.

The pay is obviously quite low, barely more than a domestic worker would get, but the R250 stock loss deduction is plain illegal and so is the overtime policy. Sadly they'll get some desperate sucker who will agree to these terms because they're desperate and they don't know their rights. But those things remain illegal and unenforceable even if you sign a document saying you waive those rights. This sort of thing happens in all types of business unfortunately.

As far as I'm aware they're allowed to carry out surveillance if the employees agree to it. Of course the employees are free to object.

Totally agree. I don't think that this complies with legal regulations.
