I see a lot of these "Selling WOW Account" posts, and have always wondered what I could get locally for mine... :erm:

I have 2 accounts and the one I mainly use has quite a lot of time invested.
This is not an actual sale :wtf:, but IF you were in a position to buy an account, and IF you were looking... What would you pay for the following?

All scores are from WoW-Heroes.com (WHS=WoW-Heroes-Score), I don't use gearscore :sick:

80 Dwarf Paladin
Prot/Ret dualspec.
~2657 WHS Ret
~2530 WHS Prot
Epic Flyer, Lots of mounts, Lots of pets, All bank slots, 2 Bags full of enchant mats, 20 Titansteel bars, 7k Gold.
Mining/Enchanting both 450

80 Human Death Knight.
Frost/Blood dual tank spec.
~2920 WHS
Epic Flyer, 2k Gold.
Herbalism/Inscription both 450 (ALMOST all glyphs learned)

80 Human Rogue
Single spec Mutilate.
2939 WHS
Epic Flyer, 1k Gold.
Skinning/Leatherworking both 450
Some decent Axes in bank for Combat spec.

70 NightElf Hunter
Mining/Engineering both 375
Normal flying, 400 gold.
Abandoned during BC.

62 Dranei Shaman.
Got bored levelling him.
Mining/JC both around 330~

3 Gnome Rogue Banker
Goldcapped.
Bank fully opened with bags and bags of Frost Lotus, Darkmoon cards, and various other few valuables.

1 Human Warrior Banker (Inscription Banker #1)
90k~ from Goldcap
Bank fully opened, completely loaded with glyphs.

1 Human Warlock Banker (Inscription Banker #2)
140k~ from Goldcap
Bank fully opened, completely loaded with glyphs.


EDIT: Forgot to mention this is all on one realm, US account.
A few other lowbie toons on another realm that my wife toyed with, but nothing worth mentioning.

I don't think you'll get much over R1000-1500 for the toons, but the goldcapped banker might get you quite a bit of $, if you consider you're paying about R70 per 1000g from goldsellers.
 
Oh I've checked the large goldseller sites, they offer me in the regions on R15 per 1000.

Hardly worth my time then to sell the toons separate from the gold, should I ever consider doing so.
 
Mind sharing with us your method of making your riches?
 
Notice the 2 almost capped Glyph bankers?
Thats where its at.

Also, using other people.
I enjoy doing the occasional Wintergrasp and as Triumph badges haven't been worth anything either for 6 months+... i buy uncut gems with honor and badges, pay someone 5-10g to cut em, and sell em just before raidtimes every night at exorbitant prices.

Also, the lvl 3 General banker... he was heavily into market manipulation. Controlling surface markets by manipulating their underlying markets.
 
Well I must say... damn thats impressive. Thats a ton of gold you have there.

Me... lately I am to lazy to farm honour. I purely do my daily runs for frost badges, and do some herb picking along the way on my deathnub. I have to get back into the raiding thing and soon... Need to push through and finish the WOTLK properly before slacker mode sets in and guilds start loosing active raiding members.
 
I don't really farm honor.
Its just a bi-product of my randomly running WG when i get that itch for it.
I never run it more than 5 times per week, totalled across my toons.
Most weeks go by without me ever seeing WG in any shape or form.

I do however attribute a lot of my gold success to another simple strategy.
Play gold is play gold.
If the Rogue wants a new enchant... he gets the mats for himself. He doesnt sponge off the bankers.
If the DK wants a crafted piece, he will get his own mats from his own gold.

Banker gold is banker gold.
The only reason i started making any effort on serious gold making was that a lot of the game's aspects became repetitive and boring to me.
Toying with the game economy became interresting enough for me to make serious goals and such for making gold.

I think in total, of my banker gold that I've spent on any levelled toons, it would come to less than 10k.

I have a day of playtime i "dedicate" for my weekly raid requirement farming.
On that day I would cycle through the various toons, gather materials, farm heroics for badges, run a WG, or whatever to make either flasks myself, or buy them from gold proceeds that the day has yielded.
That day is usually Mondays.
Lately it has become a serious habit to do this farming with the Paladin.
Farming heroics with enchanting is just pure win for making that money, and seeing as hes a tank, he does well in badges/hour. Also fairly decent ret set takes care of decent honor in WG. This usually netts me around 2-3k gold for about 3-5 hours of playtime, easily paying for the food and flasks for my raids that week.

As for actual pure goldmaking for the sake of goldmaking... Pure and simple AH playing.
No farming was involved at any point in making the gold on my bankers.
 
Gear scores on your paladin is low:)

That being said, one thing stands out on your account amongst others. its US. if it was EU would be worth more i imagine. I would be curious to see your total amount of gold, as i am currently sitting on 186K on one char.

I'm struggling with Gold of late...

When I was lvl 40 I had over 1k gold - which was a lot at the time. When I hit lvl 70 I had over 5k gold ... which was also a lot at the time. I bought mounts for quite a few of my guildies and always had cash to lend out to everyone. (Ok half of it I never saw again)

Now I just suck. Mining / skinning doesn't sell...and I'm getting bored of it. I can't imagine gear crafting trades making a lot of money - logic dictates that consumables is where the money lies.

That leaves me with alchemy / JC'ing for Gems that keep getting replaced or bought for better gear ... and well I can't see why inscription would be one - but apparently it is.
 
I'm not sure how accounts get valued but a few months ago I got offered 1000 dollars by some Yankee. He wanted to cross over to European servers. He wasn't too worried about my crappy gear or the little amount of gold I had. He was interested because of my life time kills. Which back then was around 300k. The toon also has all the PvP achievements on him.

I turned him down though! My toon to me is priceless and will never sell him.

Suffice to say I sit with around 415k kills now.

Well... When we think JC, we have to consider what you are selling.
Gems. Gems. Some gems. Oh yeah more gems. Did I mention gems?
With Inscription I/m selling:
Glyphs
Inks
Vellums
Scrolls
Darkmoon Cards
and more Darkmoon Cards.

Once a month I pound in, at minimum, 30k from Darkmoon Cards. This is only the heavy flash amount during the Faire though. Sales of cards during the rest of the month is crappy.
Glyphs I round in a flat average of 8-15k per week. (flat due to its predictability - i make 8k on first week of month, going up, into 15k last week)
Vellums come in at around 3k per week; Thats only selling the leftovers I dont use on my enchanting toon.
Scrolls sell INCREDIBLY well on my server. Runescroll of Fortitude alone netts me around 4k per week.
I have leftover Inks in such quantities at the end of each week, I end up sometimes just mailing them another banker for temporary mailbox-storage. Selling all these leftovers the next week usually netts me around 1.5k max per week.

Having dabbled in JC before, I never managed to pull more than 15k per week total from gems.
Gem markets are just really hard to control. Everyone and their mothers know its good money, as well as easy.
Running a proper Inscription market is much more involving and requires finer attention to detail, as well as other factors.

That being said though.
On patches with new content (ex: 3.3), I make almost double per week from Enchanting than Inscription, and I would safely say that JC would have similar results.
Not to say that Inscription doesn't go up a little as well. But it loses a lot of weight in Darkmoon cards for that month, as people would rather try get new trinkets from the new instances and raids etc.

No sarcasm.
Guy in my guild is so obsessed about his PvP. The Yanks are VERY competitively driven when they take up pvp. Some even to scary and fanatical proportions.
Once in vent, we heard the guy smash up his TV with a bat or something coz it was "distracting him" and "caused him to lose an arena match".

I was too afraid to ever speak to him again...
