Wow Connection what are you using?

I am getting ADSL 384. now Iam looking for a good unshaped isp. what latencys are you guys getting and which isp are you using?
 
Vodacom 3G
Got decent latency this weekend.
500-1000
BUt on friday night 12:30am I got dced and couldnt get back into wow although I could connect. EVen after 7 restarts couldnt get into wow or surf but it was "connected".
 
What does your latency look like at night, mine Vodacom is 1600ms - 5000ms. Thats why I am signing up Telkom adsl
 
ok normally 98% of the time it is 500-800 which is great. But do get the occasional spike of 1k.
Got a sppike of 4k yesterday,but it lasted 2mins.Just relog and its fine.
My 3g signal is 4/5 and evrynow and then I get HSDPA connection.

My connection had a stable latency the last few weeks

at most it was 660 in the world and about 700-800 in BG's

This weekend was on Edge as I was in PTA at my Mothers place.
However I mainly play on 3G and the pings are about the same.

Like I told Jase the other day.
Maybe buy a Pre-paid MTN sim and see if your latency is better, if so give it a try
 
Sounds radical might just work, by the ways NEVER EVER EVER get Vodacom 3g what a waste of money. Where MTN Edge is better go figure.
 
I get between 500 to 800 generally. Doesn't seem to make much of a difference whether I use shaped or unshaped. Using Webafrica Prepaid. 384k.
 
LoL I am using 3G. And I am fine with pings between 450-860 on good nights.
I think you didn't check your reception before you bought the 3g go figure...

I just came back from the UK and i wanna start playing WOW again
Dont wanna use Telkom they will take like 5 weeks before they would
install the landline.
I stay close to Carnival City dont know how the receptions gone be on
3G OR HSDPA WICH IS BETTER AND IS WOW PLAYEBLE ON one of these options or iburst??
Wanna play on a UK server.
I stay close to a Vodacom tower.
And i wanna know how much cap 2 buy gone play alot per month?
 
Mine is a 1 gb account from vodaworld.Paying R349 a month and got a R400 Hi FI Corp voucher XD.Well the only advice I have for you is take an i9burst modem and test your locations reception,or go check on their site for the coverage map.Same with 3G make sure of your signal strength. And check your wow latency while testing.

But a land line would be better IMHO even with the wait period
 
Ok i am desparate to play wow would it work ok on 3g(vodacom or mtn)
My iburst connections crap and i cant install a land line???
 
How is your coverage on the website?Look at the coverage map.

See if you can borrow a mates 3g and test first.

My 3g coverage is exelent on the map we fall rigth in the middle bud thats on the vadacom map for 3g got a tower close aswell.
