Wow Connection what are you using?

I am gone be the only one using the 3g connection how playble is it?
So you have a 3g connection and you play on a UK WOW server?Is it Vodacom?Or MTN?
 
Vodacom

I am plying on a UK server as well latency is between 400-800 normally.
Last night I had a spike of 4k but that was for like 30secs.
othewise 710-890 which is playable XD

Was really crappy for a few weeks but seems a lot better now.

Typically running 500 - 900ms, 2 pc's sharing the connection as well.

Last night was okay, just battled a bit in the BG's when trying to chase an opponent (Lots of Pap en Vleis flying in WSG!)

There was a slight spike for a very short while.

I am currently using a E620 card with an external antenna.

Oddly tho, Pitbull is using MTN's edge and gets better pings than I do (altho, I think it's due to him working for them!)

woah... nobody on dsl can get pings like that! how the hell is this faster than unshaped adsl? :p

you telling me i must switch to web intact?

I got 3g coverage on both maps mtn and vodacom so you guys say mtn is best for WOW.
And does the attena improve your ping and do you buy it seprately?
Thanx for sharing the info with me.The vodashops were not as helpfull yesterday they were clueless dont think there was any gamers working there.

All for WoW, just remember when they bring a patch out be sure to get it elsewhere. You dont wanna use up your cap. Go for the 1gb option I had 500mb and I always seemed to use it all in the first 20days.

Do what I do, when a patch comes out go to a internet cafe start your download, come back later and get it :D

Thanks for the warning one of my friends gave me all the updates already
it was like 500 meg i will get a 1gig contract from mtn or vodacom and top up if i go over it.
But would have been kinda pissed if i had to wast that much cap on updates.

Next patch is expected for tomorrow. It can also be delayed toll next week though.
 
I downloaded 75mb over the last week of it if not mistaken. There is most likely an aditional section to this to be downloaded still.

I think there is another part to this download, I also downloaded 75MB however it didn't apply the patch yet. Think it's another big one broken up in sections.

No its because the ports that WOW uses were re-routed by webintact

and it doesnt matter which eu server u play on

and my connection is only 192kb :o

Install original wow, install expansion BC then update from there. Dont worry if you havnt purchased a key for BC yet you can still install bc. I had BC installed before I bought the key and it worked fine.
