Look at it this way. You spend R700 for a new Xbox game. The average Xbox game is probably about 12 hours. So 58 rand per hour.
WoW costs 150 a month, but you most likely play every day. Let's say, maybe 2 or 3 hours a day. Let's say 2.5. Over the course of a month, it works out to about R2 per hour.
So which, really, is the best investment, from purely a financial point of view? Don't get me wrong, of course. A R700 game that may take 12 hours to finish may certainly be worth it because those 12 hours may be concentrated awesome as opposed to the 70 hours per month of a snoozefest that WoW might be (most of it is going to be level grinding, farming crap etc after all). My point though, simply is, the financial argument is silly. R150 a month is chump change to a gamer. Unless you're an out and out pirate.... which would certainly clarify things in this thread...
