Anyone else having an issue with WoW/Mweb where the load bar gets to 90% and just stops doesn't close/dc/error? Apparently some users using VM over in EU are having the same issue?

eish there is like 100 threads for it , please go read in the isp discussion.

i suggest , changing your username from @dslmweb.co.za to @mweb.co.za

and clearing cache etc

Ye tried that still no luck... Seriously considering another ISP these constant issues with MWeb are really startig to irritate me.

Only problem is WA is FTL on your wallet though !

Issshhh R100 per gig of bandwidth goes quick though....

Which package is that ?

I currently use their Unshaped pre-paid ... some of the people I know using the cheaper shaped BW says most of the time its very close in performance to the unshaped accounts, but when I used it, it was not giving me the same levels of performance as the unshaped accounts. Expensive, but certain raid nights, dc's and bad latency, is not an option.

Oh yea, and we got that damn dragon down last night... not bad for a guild raiding 2 nights a week lately :-p
So chuffed we broke through those sub 1% wipes at last...

Pornolio, performance for me on unshaped or normal is exactly the same when making use of my Proxy. Think I only had a DC etc like 2 or so times this year, but that's when everyone had the same.

I have the MyBroadband WA 11GB + 100GB download plus (like free late night download bw) special that only a certain number was given out. (30GB for R200 was also a special, but is to much for gaming imo)

Gz on the silly dragon btw :)

Hmmm yea the whole "another" contract thing is a bit annoying for me... I try and keep my WA account just for backup since its so expensive.

Must admit, it was around a year back when I had my shaped account converted to an unshaped account... I was not getting good results back then on shaped... maybe its changed.
The 11 gig is perfect I agree... You dont need more than that for gaming a month.

The last 7 or so days, the unshaped BW was very very stable... saw 180 ms a lot of times and had very few dc's.

Not sure what u mean with the "tied to contract". Its month to month and I can stop it anytime, but why would I want to :)

I raid 25 man with +- 200ms stable (ie you can see with the cast bar its also stable and don't go up and down like with other ISPs). I get annoyed at EU ppl DCing on allot of fights etc etc. Ppl don't ever expect me to be one of the guys who will DC during the night. And I just make use of a personal Proxy with it & oc my line quality is very very good (LA & SNR).

Ow and BTW before that I also had unshaped, but then change to standard and now this acct. All the same performance just about, I did'nt notice anything.

I cant see myself paying R100/GB again:)

WA are doing a new thing now, 10gb for R149, and you can hire you internet line with them for cheaper than telkom. R300 for the 1meg line, and R400 for the 4meg line. I think they also do 25gb for R239. checkout their page. its defo worth it. Im raiding most 25mans on a 384k line til my line is upgraded. magmaw is not cool though :(

By tied to a contract, I mean another debit order on your account going off every month, and to cancel it another 30 days notice period, its really horrible to have 3 / 4 different ISP contracts just to ensure you have a optimal stable latency.
I can tell you horror stories about companies with debit order rights on my account... if you dont monitor closely every month whats going on, it gets messy.

I will maybe try another WA "shaped" account and bench the performance against my unshaped.

Ow ye I know exactly what you mean :) There are some retarded ISP's around.

Do then bench and let me (us) know :)
