Since I see someone mentioned it I'd like to make a point about Shaman and supposed Hybrid Spec's.

Anyone who says Shaman should be Resto only is a retard who should never breed lest he spread his defective genes.

Enhancement and Elemental Shammies are awesome and every single Raid should have 1 of each if they can.
Their personal DPS is good and the amount of DPS buffs they give when grouped correctly is absolutely awesome.

Shaman are fairly lucky that all 3 their specs are accepted for grouping/raiding, not all hybrids are as fortunate.

Yea, and since 2.3 no more lying about your build :D

I used to tell people I'm combat spec when I was Sub. Reason is before 2.3 Shadow step caused massive aggro, as the crit Ambush on a shadow step would be 3k + first hit (lvl 58). When they realized i'm Sub we're in the instance and it was to late :D. I respec'd to combat for the more constant DPS but will go sub again once I get 70 (Burts Damage FTW !)

Lol Bees, thats just not cricket. I think people who refuse a Rogue coz he's Sub are classed with teh Resto Shammy morons :P
 
Just a side wondering since i'm a druid who usually have to play multiple roles.

While leveling, i'd say your spec should be a leveling spec, i don't see much point in speccing for the odd 5 man whilst your primary goal is to hit 70. For example, it's just plain absurd for a Druid to spec Resto at some low level so he can heal.....and then having a horrible time leveling with crappy damage. So any 5 man party assuming i'll be resto between 20-60 are idiots (yes i can however still heal as a feral spec, but it's not going to be ground breaking and will only keep the MT alive..the clothies pulling aggro ..tough luck) . Only people i can imagine doing that are eq/gold farmers or some sort of twink [arenaing at low levels etc] .

I don't know much about priests, but my understanding is that the general consensus is that any class' healing spec tends to come at a low[er] damage penalty...common sense will tell you low damage + high healing = slow painful kills = slow leveling . So not sure, but isn't a Shadow Priest = Damage ?

Yeah I saw. Unfortunately I'm very out of touch with Rogues when it comes to PvP since I stopped playing mine when BC hit.

If I did play a Rogue I'd stick with good 'ol Combat Spec but Maces instead of Swords for a change.

My priest was shadow from the word go. One of the main reasons was that everybody said Sp can't dps and I wanted to show them that they can. Leveling was a breeze because of the damage output and if needed I could fear, heal, shadow form and continue nuking.

On a side note, our guild is busy with ZA at the moment. I tank alongside a tauren warrior and with the first boss you see how versatile druids really are. I tank him in troll mode then when he switches to bear mode I pop to druid form, fire off all my hot's on the warrior (and a starfire for special effects) then go back to bear form and pick him up once he goes back to troll form.

whoever said an SP couldnt dmg is a nubcake
 
The problem is there are so many SPriests who don't understand our rotations.
Typically they fail dismally and get out dps'd by the MT.
 
Yeah, it's quite amazing how badly some people can play their classes. I had a fire mage in our group for heroic ramps (generic spellfire/spellstrike/gladiator wep) with around 900+ fire damage. He out dps'd me by around 600 dmg, and I was tanking it...

In all fairness, druid tanks still push out decent damage, but my dps was only around 500. That's just sad from a mage perspective. At least he kept his sheep target sheeped tho :)
 
Whats truely scary is how some people don't even understand basic class fundamentals.

My very first guild when Azeroth was new and shiney had a Rogue who didn't use any combo points. He just spammed SS.
He attended every raid religiously and so had a plethora of excellent Epic Gear but his DPS remained abysmal.

My favourite will always remain the Warrior Tank (Prot Spec with full Tier 1) who was so terrible at tanking in MC (BWL+ should never even enter the equation) that the Raid was forced to SS him.
This wasn't a healing problem, this was the kind of warrior who went into Ony as OT and tried to DPS in defensive stance but couldn't understand how he pulled aggro.
 
hahaha, what a tool. There are quite a few gems like that around, if you look hard enough. :)

I particularly like mages who cast pyroblasts when we're clearing trash in a heroic. It makes me feel all warm inside.

Like, dude, the pyro just crit for 6k. How the hell are you all out dps'ing me tho? Madness!
 
Druid tanks arent meant to dps, they meant to tank.
 
Shadow priest and another healer(priest/druid or shaman) in a 5man is a brilliant combo. lvl 64 or lvl 70. doesnt matter.

Anyway until someone pays my subscription I would spec holy with a warlock if I feel like it. hahaha.
