Hello everyone,

I used to play WoW for 3 yeats back in the TBC/WOTLK days on an unofficial awrver. A lot of quests were buggwd and even some dungeons and raids didn't work but i enjoyed it either way.

I am thinking of trying it out again now on an official server, seeing as i have a stable connection now and can afford the monthly subscription (life as a student was tough).

So i would like to join a South African guild that is relatively big and that have the regular dungeon and raid runs. I am also keen on a guild that is interested in doing some of the older expansions' content for achievements/mounts/transmogs. I am not looking for any hand-holding or freebies as i generally solo level anyway. I saw on some threads that Pap en Vleis and Last Sanctuary seems to be some of the most popular ones if either of you or another guild is interested in letting me join.

I will be playing horde ane probably roll one of most classes.

Lastly, i want to find out where do you people buy the latest expansion and the monthly subscription? I checked on all of my regular online stores and none of them sell it and the only place that have them is either dodgy stores or directly from Blizzard's online store but i would rather not go that route.

Thank you the help and sorry for the long message.

For guilds check the WoW guild thread, but its unlikely that many of them will be doing anything except the newest Shadowlands content at the moment.

To buy official game/subscription the eu.battle.net store is the best. You can sometimes get subs from other dodgy places as you say, but it's not worth going that route.

Thanks i'll have a look there.

Only reason why i didn't want to buy from Blizzard directly was because i don't have a credit card and i wasn't sure that they would accept a debit card. But i just checked and it seems that it will work.

How much does the monthly subscription work out for EU roughly? About R200 per month if you take the 6 monrh bundle?
