If diablo was to get released tommorow... your spouse tells you that you are not allowed to be "that which has no life" and have to choose 1 or the other...
What would be your choice?

Diablo 3 is definately my choice.

Diablo 3 hands down. Id trade my wife for it. I can allready imagine my post: WTT used 31 year old amazon for level 50 Shaman. No n00b offers plx.

Warhammer > WoW

For me :o

Will see about that, seems like warhammer may follow the age of conan route and release premature, just to compete with wow. I have to say that warhammer does look great, but time will only tell.
I have always said I will switch to D3 when it releases, but wow is also having some exciting new changes soon.

Depends how hewt teh spouse is :>

After reading afew reports on war im abit worried

The thing that worries me is I love the economy wow has going. I hope that Warhammer does the same and it will be a winner. If not, I'll be on WoW still most of the time. I'll see if the Warhammer bug bites.

But lets all be 100% honest. If you have a game you understand 100% anything else where you have to learn the ins and outs again will never replace the one you have complete power over.

I don't think anything will replace WoW, unless they get most of the things to be the same as WoW. And buy that I mean the economy. That is what I hated about GW's.

One thing always pointed out, and rightly so, is that wows combat was dogs bollocks on release.
I really wish I had the discipline to ignore war for about 6 months and play it once its settled down. However that isn’t likely.
Anyway what im hoping for is some PVP awesomeness while wow raids are cleared/not happening;p

Wow have set the new benchmark, and even at it's release its combat system was better than the online games of that time (Lineage, etc.) This should be expected from games that want to compete with wow. And I am pretty sure D3 and SC2 will have gameplay better than wow, and blizzard will create their own rival games.

Ill play both

I'm interested to see how this expac turns out, and if its not to my expectations, ill just play d3 more

Diablo 3 is Action-RPG/Hack-n-Slash, while WoW is MMORPG. They are completely different genre's.

WoW needs to be massive to support a huge amount of players and relies on the social aspect of the game, while Diablo caters for you and couple of buddies to MP, with an engrossing story, over the weekend. One is long term, the other short term.

You cannot really compare the 2 since they both will have completely different game mechanics.

However, I will take time off WoW to play and finish Diablo.

That is what I would've said :) Diablo is fun until you finish the game. And fun until you finish the game with a few friends. It's a no brainer whereas WoW you actually have to go "So if I have +4 agi on this item my hit ratio thingy will go up by this much so if a healer heals me for x I will do y more damage and therefor win the big boss"

I hate thinking....

If I'm honest...I would play WoW :p its more fun for me...can't ever get bored. Sure the graphics sucks etc etc, but it my tipe of game :D

That is just it, Diablo3 will not be finished that easily, with random generated levels.

As stated by others here, two different types of games. So per me, no choice to be made here. I play WoW and other MMORPG's as it is like a giant chat room with graphics. I'll play Diablo single player and maybe LAN with some mates for the hell of it.

As to randomly generated lvl's, I have found that in past games that have randomly generated levels / maps etc. They all eventually become much of the same thing.

Will I get D3? HELL YES! Will I quit WoW? HELL NO! (Unless I get stuck in some foreign country with no decent access to the net ... erm just like now)

Yes, but the story is not randomly generated either ;)

Take Diablo 2. Once you've finished it on normal, it was optional to play it on hard ;)

Im not comparing them.
What im saying is which one will take your pick if you could only spend time and subs on 1.
