Wow vs Diablo 3

If you have your graphics on stupid parts of the game are visually stunning, is actually what sold me initially, flying from xroads to ogg at sunset with all those antelope running through the plains, i was like holy @#$!~

Done this so many times, esp to gnomes :P

I make a point out of taking screenshots whenever I see something nice ... my drive is clogged with them.

the latest ones i took was of me mining adamantite in the sunset & our group cheering on the Horde Rock band in BRD's pub :D

but ya, the barrens / Serengeti really is purdy!

I often just fly around while listening to mellow music from radiohead/the eels/the shins etc.

it's turned into a bit of a "Space out" session rather than a questing game for me.

Just about anything would turn into a 'Space Out' session while listening to Radiohead. Awesome band!

One of my favourite things to do in WoW was load up some Dragonforce and queue for AV.

All the freedom to go anywhere is kinda limited. One the one hand you *can* mount up and ride into the sunset. On the other, if you and your guild ever form a raid to go torch an Alliance towns, 20 minutes later after you ride out, it's like you were never there. WoW's lack of 'persistence' bugs me slightly.

What I really liked about Diablo2 and obviously Diablo3 was how 'custiomizable' your toon was. There was so much different gear. It was always exciting picking up a rare drop and comparing it to your existing. WoW kinda loses that at endgame, especially with the PVP sets, everyone running aorund looking like clones of each other.

I'm hoping Warhammer alleviates both of these issues to a degree. I want to be able to overwhelm an Order city and call it ours. I want my RvR exploits to echo through time, even if but for a bit. I want that loot I work hard for, to be somewhat unique, at least 9yay for dying!). I don't know if it will deliver on all of these, but it's worth a shot.

I've heard rumors the Order are insane with their comebacks ;) Not like the alliance /sigh
