Wow, talk about thread necromancy.... should we see what other year old troll threads we can revive?
 
I think the reason blizzard doesnt come down on these free servers is becoz they dont care, most ppl who play on them go over 2 offical, those who dont are cheap asses anyway and will never buy the game.
 
blizzard wont care they hit in december 10million paying gamers for wow and they are happy where they are hehe this is also the most played and most active game in the world atm

Agree. The "free" servers are buggy and probably bring in more people then they take away. I doubt many people would move from legit to a free server, unless they seriously couldn't afford it. In which case, Blizzard are not losing anything anyway. In fact, they would probably retain the person in the long run as the alternative is that the person moves across to another game (e.g. ROM or GuildWars) where there are no monthly subscriptions. Those people are less likely to go back to WOW when they can afford it then someone who has been playing "free" as a stop gap measure.

IMO, Blizzard do need to think about dropping prices in these times (or possibly offer a 1 year card at a nice discount) or they will start to feel it on their bottom line. People in Europe and the US are cutting back significantly.

There is a lot to be said about sitting on ones laurels. Stargate Worlds, etc are coming out and one of them just as to release at a slightly lower fee to make people take notice.
 
I dont think stargate worlds or even the new old republic game will have a big impact against wow, wow is a fantasy game I think we need more sci fi games for the fans
 
yeah 150 is really that much,because u never get dced and the server is always online ,and no bugs :)

Yes cause having pimped out lvl 80 chars on official servers gives you that feeling of accomplishment that so many people lack in thier real lives

I would try pay attention to half the posts here, but they are simply drowned out by my sheer awesomeness, this is slightly due to the fact that I have achieved high end gear status in a make believe game on the "official" make believe servers!

Clearly since the sarcasm in this thread is obviously going way above your head let me get a crayon and some paper....

While You may thrive on some obscure sense of achievement from spending hours on end overcoming the quaint AI programmed into the dungeons and the monotonous grind for Items, other people may have higher aspirations that don't include such a pointless waste of time.
If they want to have some instant gratification in the form of unofficial servers, with some instant lvls and gear, that's thier prerogative and then actually get on with the fun parts of the game .

What they don't need is your, or anyone Else's self righteous comments and argument's about Unofficial servers(these comments probably stem from the fact that these servers glaringly reveal that the precious time you have invested in this make believe game was a total and utter waste).

At the end of the day its all about the amount of pleasure your activities bring you, and to be quite frank, who are you to tell anyone that your "Pleasure Time" is superior to thier "Pleasure Time".

Oh well, whatever, I'm sure my little post won't stop you from trying to convince yourself and everyone else why they
