Thanks, is there any way how I can test if the usb is "faulty"?
When I say faulty I don't mean something is burned out or loose. It may be a driver issue or it may be poor design of the motherboard or perhaps a chipset problem, ie a fault other people with that particular make and model laptop or maybe laptops with that particular motherboard have, even same make and model laptops could have slightly different mobo revisions I guess. Contact the supplier or manufacturer pronto, at the same time Google for someone else who has had this problem before. I often win with these searches as the problem in question has usually been solved by someone else already.
When I said 'test' meant that I could see how fast my USB 2.0 burns at, sorry for confusing you.
In summary, Google for what other people may have found. Contact manufacturer of the PC, contact manufacturer of the Drive and contact Nero customer support. Don't forget to also post on each of these company's forums. I suggest you copy-paste the same post over and over again,
mention make of computer, make of mobo and model number (usually available in Bios), BIOS ver, Windows ver, amount of RAM, make of drive, etc.
It could also be a medium problem. Are you using good quality DVD-Rs? (eg Verbatim)? If DVD-Rs are a problem maybe using DVD+R's may help
but I doubt this is your problem (medium) at all.
