WRT56G Router dropping connection

I have recently bought a WRT56G router to extend my network and to be my network proxy/firewall.
Problem is... On stuff like telnet the connection is closed every 10 Minutes. You can time it to the second.

I use the following chat room constantly.
telnet 64.124.52.148 8890

Any ideas as to solve this?
I'm running the latest firmware from Linksys
The device I have is a WRT56G v6
