I have my main wsus where i approve updates etc - I have just set up a 2nd replica server another branch - Is it possible for me to see all the clients and there update status on the replica server ? can I approve updates from that replica server to pc's at that specific branch ? or do I have to approve them from my main server which then updates to the replica wsus server and then deploys to the clients at that branch?

Do you have any other wsus advice or tips that you would like to share ?

You have 2 choices:
Option A is the default WSUS installation method.


a) Distributed install = new WSUS server serves (approves) its own clients & updates - it merely pulls updates from the upstream server. (you manage server1 clients & updates on server1 and server2 clients & updates on server2)
b) Centralized install = new WSUS server is a "replica" of the upstream server - all clients & updates are managed on server1. (you manage all PC's & updates on server1)
