Last week I booted up my PC and it got stuck at the POST stage, where it checks the drives installed.

Thinking the worst, damaged motherboard, I left it for a few hours and then tried it again, out of desperation. Same thing.

I disconnected the HDD and tried again. No luck.

Then I thought to remove the motherboard battery for a few seconds, and it booted up! I reconfigured the BIOS and carried on.

The other day it did the same thing, but this time I simply reset it a few times. Eventually it booted up.

When it hung for the second time, I took a photo...

Do any of you have any clue wtF is going on with this machine, please?

Thanks.

What board is it? What drives are connected using what interface?

I've had similar with a bad SATA cable

Also try unplugging all USB devices... but most likely a bad data cable on one of your drives.
