wtf? my phone just reset.

Ok, well, my phone just reset itself, the screen when all weird then reset itself. this is where it gets interesting, my phone's date now says that it's the 1st of january 2000. I can't set the date further back then 2007!? wtf is up with my phone, it's been restarting itself recently and it also freezes at times. It's a SE K850i

Time to hook your phone up to your PC and do a firmware update. You can download the software suite from www.sonyericsson.com. Then run the update just make sure the phone is charged fully. The update can take aslong as 45min.

I used to do regular updates on my SonyEricsson. Good luck mate

is your phone still covered by warranty? if it is vodacom will do the update for or you could as suggested, download SEUS (sony ericsson update service) and do it like that. alternatively if it isnt under warranty i recommend you do the update manually with a phone flasher (a2Uploader) and the phone firmware files (FS and Main) the latest generic firmware is version R1FA035. if you need help i can point in the right direction.

Yep,do what GayTechie said. I debranded my K850 as well, that Vodafone firmware plays havoc in that phone, mine was almost un useable until i did the above.
