WTF SuperSport?

Don't know about this specific instance but I feel Supersport has a terrible, terrible embedded media player. I've got a really decent internet connection, never have hassles with youtube vids, online gaming and all that. But the number of times I get told "Insufficient bandwidth" or it buffers for eternity is insane. And now I see this facebook thing... It's incredibly irritating.

I watched the rugby and the F1 Grand Prix - streamed to TV via Apple TV2.

Not a perfect pic but very watchable, far more so than on Drifta.

No buffering at all.

Truly idiotic! And what is even more irritating is that the chat is not sport specific so if someone else is watching football, and another tennis, and another golf, all their comments appear in the same stream! When someone says "wow! did you see that", it is a bit disconcerting when nothing happened that you saw.

Discussion of the event. I don't mind them putting it there but at least they can provide an option to remove it.

Cric info did this a while back with facebook posts streaming on the side. Lines and lines of meaningless comments by clowns. Glad they removed it. There should always be an option to remove facebook and like. Not everyone is besotted over these things.

It really is annoying. I eventually resized and repositioned the SS streaming window so that the "chat" was off the side of my second monitor.
