wtf webafrica complete 7?!

Today i received a sms that the complete 7 package has been activated?? so i got home and checked it out as i had no idea what it was and saw its 16GB + a 4mb circuit for R999 pm.

Okay so now im confused/irritated as i have never applied for this and have no idea how this happend. Could someone from webafrica plz contact me urgently about this!!

o and if you dare debited my account for R999 for a service which i have never applied for hell is going to break loose...

Lol, if you did not in fact order it, I highly doubt that they have your bank details...
 
How would you like it if you had a network that no-one uses any more? Cut them some slack. Got to put food on the tables one way or another...

Yes, because complaining on a forum to which they have no relation other than advertisement, is a way better course of action than posting on their own forum or even phoning them.
 
Lol, if you did not in fact order it, I highly doubt that they have your bank details...

i have had a webafrica account in the past so think they do have my bank account details hey

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you need a minimum of a fax of a contract so again, it is more than likely an error. I think your best course of action would be to post on their forum or even better phone them. Sounds like a mistake by some one.

It happened to me as well. I initially entered into the draw for the special @ R499 and subsequently withdrew my application for the draw. Webafrica confirmed on 22 March that it has been withdrawn and today I also get the sms and the detail for the account. Hopefully they will respond to my email. Not like last time when it took 2 months.

Same here mate, i also applied for that special last month, now all of a sudden a month later this gets activated!!

this is really worrying me now tbh! i honestly dont have R999 just to spare like that

So you applied for a special and now decided you don't want it.... Did you not have to send in any paper work for the line or agree to anything online that you would be entering into an agreement?

yeah but like the other guy i have canceled it also back in march! and the special is for R499 which is way different from the one which just got activated

someome from WA is having a look at it now, hope they can sort it out

WA are pretty good with client relations.
You can cancel the service via their "customer area" on their website.
But to be on the safe side, phone them during orifice hours and speak to someone directly... then ask for a reference number so that you can have everything on record.

I canceled a service through them before (last month with the whole "uncapped" explosion)... and it was easier than making a sandwich!
Speaking of which, I'm hungry now...

Here's a radical idea: Why don't YOU contact THEM rather than hoping a rep happens to stumble across this thread and contact you? Use it, don't use it . . .

i checked on my account and there doesnt seem to be a option of closing it but yeah i will agree that there cleint relations are gud and someone offerd to have a look into it immediately

Good. While they're at it ask them if they can look into the sustainability of cheap uncapped internet for us. With a 30GB cap at the very least.
 
HAHA! would it be unethical using the 16GB they are offering me now and still not want to pay?
 
Their billing system seems to have a mind of its own though. I got billed for accounts I had with them and cancelled when I moved to uncapped. I got confirmations when I cancelled and they disappeared from the client console. They used to take the money on the 1st of a month, but this month it was on the 10th... A quick email to [email protected] on sunday and they sorted it out within a day, which was pretty impressive. Would have been more impressed if they didn't charge me in the first place though :D
