WTFast or Battleping?

From what we have seen, the only time when WTFast does not perform is when our automated server selection drops the ball. But, if you manually pick one of our different servers, the results are generally tops. ;)

Does one not need to be an advanced user to be select a server manually? I got a standard account for free from mweb, it's doing great on my 384 line though. :)
 
With WTFast you can either click "manual server selection" and pick different servers from the recommended physical location, or do "show sever locations" to choose a completely different physical server location. Finally, if you choose a different server location, you can also manually choose an individual server from that location.
 
Ive done that. Ive gone as far as taking the IP addresses of each server in the EU pool and manually pinging them to see which one would result in the lowest latency. I still have the same results.

What ISP are you with and where do you physically live? If you tell me your WTFast account name I can have a look at your logs and make recommendations.

Done that and found a quicker server last night. :)

I'm experiencing higher latencies than always before though (used to get less than 250ms constant, but now it's never lower than that). I doubt it is wtfast though. I'm on mweb uncapped. Wow is still perfectly playable though. :)

Thanks will give those a try! I'm in East London so my traffic routes through CT. Going to Jhb would be worse for me, me thinks. But will give it a bash after work. :D

I am just trying to help! Your feedback will help me to squeeze the best results out of WTFast for you. This is why I asked to see your logs. I was reviewing your logs for the last month and I didn't see you trying all the German servers, which is why I asked you to try it. This already improved results for another user.

What would be most helpful is if you can tell me which server you are using with the competition to get the best results. So far nobody has given this information. If you can tell me this, I am confident we can get results as good or better. This is why we have 60+ servers, the best server for one person might not be the best server for another person.

Oh my word. Are you really being that way? Really? WTFastPWNer is only trying to help you and that’s the feedback you give him? Really? Come on bro. Are you really going to do that? You can be glad that bloke is even on this forum, because as far as I know, WTFast is an international product and has only recently (thanks to MWEB) offered it support to South Africa. Are you really being that ungrateful of that? If so, you’re a stupid ass.
 
I agree with m3h. |Blunt just seems to be a jackass in that post. Ungrateful and not even trying to be cooperative to fix an issue HE has.

Then again, for the short 3 months of my life I did work in support, I realized most clients are indeed jackasses, and then they ask why they never get right when they phone for support. Personally I never have that problem when I call for support for whatever reason, mostly because I realize I am dealing with a person on the other end, and just being a little bit respectful gets you much further.

Seriously? You did not even put in some real effort in solving the issue. (He checked your logs and sees you have not even tried all the servers as you said you have). Get over yourself. The service works damned well for me and I've received great service for the last 4 months now. Maybe because I treat the person helping me with DECENCY. biggot.

ahh you gotta be joking, now im getting the full wrath of the internet. you guys need to take your blinkers off....
maybe the reason you don't see any activity on my logs is because im on battleping. I stated a few times that i had tried these steps when using this service. I wasted my own time trying EVERY server in their EU list when using this only to get sub-par results. I came to the understanding that the only time i was going to get equal service levels was if i upgraded to their "Advanced" service

I replied the way i did because im tired of being handled like im a 3 year old child. I did state that i had tried his troubleshooting advice MANY times, at one point WTFast was my ONLY proxy service and I had to make the best out of it

anyways, im done in this thread. You can continue to look though your damn blinkers if you so choose

my final post in this thread will state

One question, tried a different ISP? Seeing youre getting packet loss on WA?
 
I have 3 ISPs. Ive tried them all

Battleping nets me around 50-80ms better latency than WTFast on all accounts
 
We should have the Cape Town server up later this month to try out. We have been waiting on additional IPs for it and it is taking forever....

I am starting to think that Blunt is from BP. ;)

Blunt, what BP server is getting you the best results? If you can tell me this, I am confident that we can get a new WTFast server and get results as good or better than what you are getting with BP. They probably have a different route or something that just happens to get you a bit better results.

So... can I get bitchy at you now after asking several times which BP server is getting you the best results so we can tweak our servers/system... and still I haven't gotten a response? ;)

I am doing my best here, and we are glad to do what we can to improve the service for you guys in SA!

Well so far it's worked better than bp for me... ;)

Can't wait for the CT server to be up then. :D
