For the guys/gals using these services. Which one do you prefer?

Thanks

Dont listen to Surv0, he was a sneaky bugger that tried to use his ping to skin stuff before me.
Oh and he was a mage, everyone knows they a bit clueless :p

I used to have pings of 350 - 500 on average on my 4mb, now I get 250 - 300 with 3 pc's connected to wow on the same line with battleping

Ok. I did some testing this weekend and it seems that Battleping is the clear winner. My latency went from 700+ to below 300. Most of the time a constant 270-280.

WTFast not so good. The best it could manage was low 500's.

I will try a few instances this week to checked grouped latency. Hopefully I can heal again. :D

New South Africa to EU servers

Have you tried using "show server location" and then choosing the new South Africa to EU servers in WTFast?

The current South Africa server is in JHB, soon we will also be adding one to CPT.

Ive tried this and it actually makes it worse. I go from a 300ms that i normally get on wtfast to around 500ms
The best i actually get with your service is around 280ms but that normally doesnt last very long and it stabilizes at around 350

Battleping seems a bit better for me at around 240ms

What grates me about your service is the fact you have to pay extra for the features that would probably bring it on par with your competitors(wouldn't know, not paying extra for your advance features and servers)

Thumbs down for WTFast from me

What server are you using with Battleping that is getting you better results? Which ISP are you with and where are you physically located in South Africa?

when i was playing wow i used WTFast never had any problems ping was always in the 200 range never more than that plus mweb gave me 6months sub for free :p

WTFast should be able to beat the results of any competing service, if your results "out of the box" are not ideal, give us your feedback and we can see what we can do to tweak it for you.

One recommendation is that you try manually picking a different server, to see if that helps to get you better results with WTFast versus the default server that is assigned for you.

personally, never used wtfast, but over the last year of being on this forum its been battleping that has anecdotally had the best latency reduction. that and when mweb were giving out the free wtfast subs they werent peering with telkom, which didnt help your cause very much at all. I hope that that is solved now :)
