seems to be a wave going around lately. My favourite forum: games.saix.net was also defaced about a month ago but they were a bit more serious. I don't know WHY people deface decent websites which actually offer valuable services to people...like you guys said...go hack some other website that people don't like anyways.
 
Ya oh well, was bound to happen someday, nothing lost, just damn irritating.
 
Clipse, maybe you should consider upgrading to e107 v0.7? They've patched most of the security flaws and it's a pretty decent system.

I ran a beta version way back and it's a joy to use. Much better than 0.6.
 
Yes, a update/new website etc etc. is a definite yes, atm im just to overworked with the other projects I have underway that I simply do not have time to sort this out.

Will move away from cms/php all together in fact, as soon as I actually get to finalise our 99% finish website.
 
Just out of curiosity - How does e107 compare with joomla/mambo?

I prefer e107...but it is ultimately down to personal preference. In my experience e107 is much easier to customise (lookswise and functionwise). I don't know why, but I don't like Joomla much. :) Just my opinion, though.

antitrust got pwned as well, seems everyone is feeling the brunt of this. antitrust got exploited by a turkish script kiddie. http://www.zone-h.org/en/defacements/mirror/id=3424904/

Should not happen again, the site is updated and security massivly increased. we modified a lot of the code to make it as non-generic as possible to be able to put off these type of site defacements.

I wonder if it has something to do with lack of man part size.
