Does anyone use X-DSL? Is it wise to use such an unknown entity as SP? I am using ADSL only for the permanent connectivity and use little bandwidth.(Never exceeded 800Mb per month)

well, I would ask myself, why use x-dsl for R63 a gig when you could use Cybersmart for R100-3gigs?

Hi outop49. X-Dsl was one of the first ADSL service providers, we have been going for 5 years. If you are using less than 1 gig a month why purchase account costing you more than R63 exl per month?

Please help again

Scares me! If you can lie about that you can lie about a lot!
But tell me, what would happen if you would subscribe to two SP's to test the water? Is it possible to configure the system that you can make a choice which sp you want to use or how does it work?
Please excuse the ignorance. (stupidity)

Rather go for webafrica and buy prepaid 1gb bundles for R75 ... big benefit would be the unused usage carries over to the next month.

Also consider cybersmart 3gb for R100 (192k)

X-Dsl the company is in its 5th year. We started specifically to provide ADSL and ADSL services. We have provided DSL since the launch in 2002 3 1/2 years ago ! Why would we like to lie to you to earn R9 a month out of you!

The easiest way to do this is put your ADSL router in bridge mode (check the manual for your router) and make a broadband dialup for each ISP in Windows XP.

Start / Control Panel / Network Connections / Create a new connections
New Connection Wizard window opens
Next.
Connect to the Internet. Next.
Set up my connection manually. Next.
Connect using a broadband connection thaty requires a user name and password. Next.
ISP Nanem. Next.
User name, Password, Confirm password. Next.
Finish.

I think he is trying to prove that the company was only registered in 2002.. ;)

Just curious about what you are trying to prove here?

That there was 3 candles on that birthday cake last. Not 5.

Some people can't even see through their own smoke and mirrors anymore.

Sorry to ask, but is Cybersmart 3gb on 192 SAIX or IS? And what would typical speeds be like compared to a 3gb Telskum account? All of this on a 192k line of course.
