X1 vs 3 series vs Audi A4

Fact.

I have a couple of friends with BMWs, and not a single one of them has not had at least one major issue with their car. At least it's covered by the motorplan, but they're less reliable than you'd think.

Audi? Reliable? I beg to differ. I know someone who replaced a clutch 2x on a 2010 model. Guess where the car is now... timing belt snapped...

Yeah, I can go on. You might say this is an isolated case but there are few other minor examples.

The guy owned 3 other cars before he settled for the A4 (A Golf, 320i, 320d).

If you think the E90 boot space is not sufficient for you then both the 3 series and A4 won't won't work. I suggest you look at something like a Tiguan.

Tiguan has a very very small boot.
Get a Crv.

Go for a test drive in both the X1 and 3 Series and see which one's ride you prefer. Then make a choice between the two sedans.

I've had my X1 for 3 years...no problems (except for being thirsty).

The BMW experience is something else (dealership wise etc). I can't see going anywhere else in the near future.
