different era's for both players....was watching some reruns on espn classic the other day and they had a top 10 scholes goals.omg....that guy must be one of the sweetest ball strikers ever.2 or 3 seasons back - Volley from the corner , cant remember against who but that was sick at his age.
Xavi is brilliant no doubt but in the overall picture i still think Scholes edges it.Im more of a Barca fan but Scholes left his aggressive,no nonsense ,hardcore mofo impression on me many years back.Also i cant remember Xavi being all that brilliant 10-+ years back? Sorry i never followed him then

Not surprising comming from a Barca supporter.Next u gonna say ibra is the best striker in the world.

LoL - how can you compare league champions medals when Scholes has been playing longer? That just makes absolutely no sense.
If i were to use your logic, then Scholes and Giggs would be the greatest players in the history of the game.
So if i take a player who sits on the bench for 5 years at United - he would have more medals than most players will get in thier careers.
Individual achievements is what matters when comparing players. Not team achievements.
