Is there a way to see which streams are active?

If you see a stream in the live section, then it is active. If you're talking about the highlights section then I don't think there is a way, apart from clicking the link and checking. Well not yet, at least...;)

Please note, I haven't tested this version in Eden, I only assume it will work. Only testing was done on Frodo.

To install addon, first download my repo addon from http://ares.hero.za.net/xbmc/repository.tinuva.addons.zip
Then install the repo addon in XBMC, where after you can download the DSTVSuperSport addon from.

Lastly, you will require a valid Supersport login/password for this addon to work, first test the login details on the website to confirm it works, then try them in the plugin.

What do I need from DSTV to watch via XBMC

Hi

I do not yet have DSTV but I am a massive fan and user of XBMC.
I want to be able to watch primarily F1 when it starts.
Apart from XBMC what is the minimum I need to watch Supersport from DSTV i.e. what package/account type must I subscribe to, so that I can stream SS to my XBMC. I do not want the full R590 pm package. Just the minimum to watch it via my PC/XBMC.
I am running on Ubuntu btw.

Great work on producing this plug in. I am very impressed!
Any help would greatly appreciated.

I have dstv compact and I can stream sports. Not sure if it's a bug, or expected behaviour, but I'm not complaining.

Is it possible with say the drifta package? I want the bare minimum package (read: cheapest) that will work.

Our DSTV account is not paid up now for 3 months. But I use the smart car details for SuperSport XBMC. I can't stream on the actual site though.

Interesting, I was wondering about that. Basically all I can do with the plugin is check that you entered a correct smartcard number on the website, the actual code on how MC decide whether you can stream or not, is hidden in their flash player, and I sadly do not have access to that code.

The idea is not to allow people to bypass MC's checks to get free streaming, but to give those that do have access to streaming on their website another alternative way of watching the streams legally.


On a side note, for fun chose to test the addon on my Raspberry Pi with OpenElec 3 RC1 and it was working flawlessly, very happy. Even though the Pi is not for me, but for my parents, I already have a very nice HTPC setup that I like. What I really enjoyed, was that I could use the TV's remote to control XBMC.
