Actually, while playing CS:Go last night, someone mentioned the supersport website being broken.

Testing the plugin this morning seems to work 100% for me on live streams at least.

Odd. I tested on 1.0.8 and 1.0.9 last night at the same time and 1.0.9 gave an error on login...

I think Supersport were having issues last night.
I could stream on my laptop (through the website), but not on my desktop, then vice-versa.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the whole HTPC world, so excuse any dumb-ass questions.

My RaspberryPi arrived earlier in the week and I've set it up with Openelec 2.99.2. I downloaded the add-on install zip thingy from http://ares.hero.za.net/xbmc/reposit...uva.addons.zip and then went to Videos and added the DSTV Supersport add-on. Is that all there is to it?

When I go to Video's -> Add-ons and select "DSTV Supersport" it says "Settings are not defined, there is a problem". Is there something I need to change or is that because there aren't any live streams being broadcast at the moment?

Hi,

Right-click on the add-on, then select "settings" and enter your SS login info (assuming you have registered on the SS website).

Let me know if any further issues.

Thanks. I filled in my details. Now I'm getting an error: Script failed!: plugin.video.dstvsupersport

EDIT: Don't worry, it's working now :)

Hey all,

I have been wanting to move over to Plex for a long time, there are only two things preventing me from doing so:

1. There was no Plex Client for Linux.
2. There is no SuperSport plugin for Plex.

The first problem is now busy getting solved and I'm already running test builds of Plex Home Theatre on Fedora 18.

The second issue is a bit more complicated, but I have decided to spend a bit of time on it and wish to enlist the help of others on the forum to help me.

The project is to build a SuperSport plugin for Plex, however even though Plex and XBMC share the same codebase and both use Python for their plugins, they are very different beasts. My mission is to port the XBMC plugin to Plex over the next few months. I say months because I don't have a lot of spare time and I know very little about Python and the libraries I'll be using so I must learn everything as I go along. I am also not sure what stumbling blocks lie ahead of me.

I have started a project on GitHub which contains the basic structure of the plugin so far: https://github.com/drzoidberg33/SuperSport.bundle

If you wish to branch off here and give a crack at it yourself please feel free. I am going to be cramming some Python study time in as much as I can :)

Some quick updates. After many hours of staring at the screen it would seem that the Plex plugin structure is actually a lot easier to learn than I originally thought.

I have already finished the easy part which is parsing the info from the sites and populating the menus, now comes the hard part to actually try and get the streams to work. :D Will put in a few more hours tonight, but here is some progress I made last night:

Highlights sections:

I have recently started using Plex(Windows) on my iPad and very impressed with what it has to offer, especially the plug-ins even though some can be a little buggy at times.Good luck with this, looks very promising so far!

One day when someone manages to convince me to use Plex, I'll really appreciate all the hard work, Doc...:D
