Xbox 360 dashboard update

Can't say I dig the new look, but as long as I get to bash wasteland bandits with a big Fireman's Axe, I'm happy.
 
I still hate the fact that you don't know what size the update is before downloading and installing. Some of us are badly capped still.

This frustrated me the most, on the website you will see it's 96mb! That's a lot for someone on wireless who has to restart the bloody download all the time.
 
Did the update this morning, tried yesterday with a flash drive also got the red flashing light and Error 71??? . Have not had much time with the new dashboard but where do you find everything now. Had a quick look and could not find stuff like twitter and facebook (not that I want to use facebook, think it sucks). You used to have a menu that you used eg my xbox, ect. Am I being stupid or have they moved everything around.

P.S. I saw a few extra menu items for the Kinect.
 
Hey if you got a flashed firmware and have updated. Do NOT play fable 3 it tags you as using a fashed dvd drive and will ban you from live and may make some games unplayable

Google fable 3 and ap25 check. The new firmware called LT+ will be out soon so update those firmwares.

The update download went quickly. But now any subsequent download takes mauch longer. Even signing into LIVE take longer now. :(
I dont mind the look though, Nice and neat. :)
 
Maybe just try in a few, maybe just a adsl issue, the update won't affect lives speed
 
I still can't get mine to update properly. Tried everything - clearing system cache, clearing previous corrupted download (left bumper, right bumper X, left bumper, right bumper X), restarting multiple times, etc. but still no joy. The download gets to 80-90% and then throws a "can't download the update" error. Anybody else still getting this?

Have you tried to update via USB?

Don't panic when you get the E71 error, just take out your USB and restart.
